Challenge #5 â Dear Santa, I wish for...
1) Tolkien fanfiction archives, forgotten Tolkien-related LJ groups and accounts and Tolkien Yahoo groups to suddenly rise from ashes. For nostalgiaâs sake. Not that I was old enough to even partake to those platforms in the early 00s (and I didnât speak a lick of English) but eh.
2) More fannish, or non-fannish, interactions on DW. Invade my comment section and yap about whatever. I like enthusiasm.

An in memoriam of sorts, or a tribute, for Aleah Stanbridge who passed away in 2016. She was Trees of Eternityâs singer, and Juha Raivioâs, doom metal band Swallow the Sunâs founder and guitarist, wife. Aleah was special. So beloved by fans. For those who arenât fans, her posthumous album Aleah is quite good (I suppose it would be classified as folk gaze? Indie folk?)

1) Top 4 Tori Amosâ albums: Boys for Pele, Little Earthquakes, From the Choirgirl Hotel, Under the Pink
2) Top 3 Vikings characters: Ecbert, Ragnar, Gisla
3) Top 3 TV shows I watched in 2025: François LĂ©tourneauâs Câest comme ça que je tâaime & SĂ©rie Noire, and Andor (ok, I started last weekend. I didnât watch three shows in 2025. Wait, maybe I watched The Boys and Gen V (or was it in 2024? Canât remember. I watch TV when Iâm at my friendâs and when he wants to watch stuff with me. Iâm not a big shows and movies watcher when left on my own))
4) Top 4 Tolkien smut fanfic writers: LeetheVix, Spiced Wine, Cilil, LiveOakWithMoss
5) Top 6 raunchy manhwas with compelling characters and stories: Wet Sand by Doyak, Codename: Anastasia by Boy Season and Eunbi, Peace of God by ìŁŒë§, Ennead by Mojito, Serenade by Keum Kyesoo, Opium by Aji. (Serenade and Opium are F/F, the others are M/M).
6) Top 7 (haha, 6-7) funniest comics (manga, manhua, manhwa): Yotsuba&! by Kiyohiko Azuma, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun by Izumi Tsubaki, 19 Days by Old Xian, Barakamon by Satsuki Yoshino, Nan Hao & Shang Feng by Brownie (ćžæć°Œ), Tamen De Gushi by Tan Jiu, Ooh La La by Jemin.
7) (haha, 6-7) Top 5 artists (Spotify wrap 2025): Spiritbox (post-metal, metalcore), Kinoko Teikoku (J-Rock, shoegaze, dreampop), ATEEZ (KPop), Farya Faraji (folk and trad musics, epic scores), çäžäžć°±ć柶 (Chinese r&b).
8) Top 5 random Tolkien character things that amuse me: Gandalfâs salty deadpans, Legolasâ weirdness, FĂ«anorâs insults, Sauronâs shapeshifting powers that eventually bring consequences to his actions, Thingolâs dad joke.
9) Top 3 Yuki Kajiura songs: Once upon a time there was you and me, I talk to the rain, if I cry

Challenge #7 â Things you like about yourself
Errhhh
1) My back muscles. Didnât expect these guys to pop so suddenly.
2) My masochism when it comes to do sports I enjoy. I grit my teeth through the pain. Endorphins are worth it.
3) My drive. No. My sense of humour. Iâm QuĂ©bĂ©cois. We like to laugh. But we hold a candle to le peuple rieur,, the Innuat.
Challenge #8 â Creative process
Get random flashes of inspiration from whatever (nature, music, fiction, real life experience, researching various topics (though Iâm not sure researching enzymes will impact my creativity)), mull over the thing, stop mulling over the thing, daydream, daydream, daydream, do research on topics adjacent to the thing, yap about it on Discord, proceed to never write a fraction of it.
